Cookies Policy

In order to make features of our website easy, useful, and reliable, we sometimes need to place small amounts of information on your device, for example, computer or mobile phone. These include small files known as cookies. They cannot be used to identify you personally.

The information on this page is generic and is provided to help you understand what type of cookies are used and the types of information collected using those cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are little text files which are stored on the browser or hard drive of your computer or mobile device when you visit a webpage or application. Cookies work to make your experience browsing our site as smooth as possible and they remember your preferences, so you don’t have to insert your details again and again.

There are different types of cookies. Some cookies originate directly from the website and others are provided by third parties, whose services are integrated into the site.

Cookies are stored for varying lengths of time on your browser or device. If the cookie relates only to a particular visit (session), then they are deleted from your computer or device when you close your web-browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer or device until deleted or until they reach their expiry date.

There are 4 types of cookies which operate:1

  1. Essential cookies — These cookies are essential for you to browse the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the site. Cookies that allow web shops to hold your items in your cart while you are shopping online are an example of strictly necessary cookies. These cookies will generally be first-party session cookies. While it is not required to obtain consent for these cookies, what they do and why they are necessary should be explained to the user.
  2. Functionality cookies — Also known as "preferences cookies". These cookies allow a website to remember choices you have made in the past, like what language you prefer, what region you would like weather reports for, or what your user name and password are so you can automatically log in.
  3. Performance cookies — Also known as "statistics cookies". These cookies collect information about how you use a website, like which pages you visited and which links you clicked on. None of this information can be used to identify you. It is all aggregated and, therefore, anonymized. Their sole purpose is to improve website functions. This includes cookies from third-party analytics services as long as the cookies are for the exclusive use of the owner of the website visited.
  4. Marketing cookies — These cookies track your online activity to help advertisers deliver more relevant advertising or to limit how many times you see an ad. These cookies can share that information with other organizations or advertisers. These are persistent cookies and almost always of third-party provenance.

Cookies for managing your current visit

To enable logged-in users to navigate between different SignedUp applications we set a cookie to remember their applications. This cookie is called "_suapps" and has a lifetime of 1 minute and it is deleted on log out.

If you attempt to favourite an opportunity when you are not logged in, we will store a cookie to favourite the opportunity after you log in. This cookie is called "_sufavtemp", it is deleted after authentication or ends with the user's session.

These are essential cookies for interacting with the site.
